Why Can't I See the Friend Button on a User's Profile?

There are several reasons why you might not see the Friend button on a user's profile:


  • You may have disabled Friend Requests on your account.
  • The user you're trying to add may have disabled Friend Requests on their account.
  • You may have a pending friend request from that user.


To check and enable Friend Requests on your account:

  1. Open the Insight Timer app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner.
  3. Select "Settings."
  4. Tap on "Privacy" under Essentials.
  5. Ensure the "Friend Requests" toggle is switched on.


If you have a pending friend request you'd like to clear:

  1. Open the Insight Timer app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner.
  3. Select "Notifications."
  4. Under "Requests," find the friend request you want to clear.
  5. Tap the "Ignore" button next to the request.
