Teacher Profile Requirements

To get started with uploading and publishing your content, it's important to set up your Teacher Profile and add your payment details. Signing up as an Insight Timer teacher is easy, and we're here to help you every step of the way. To ensure a smooth process, please make sure that your profile meets the requirements outlined below. By doing so, you'll be able to start sharing your knowledge and wisdom with our global community of meditators in no time.

PROFILE PHOTO
Your profile photo must be a high-quality portrait (head to torso) with a resolution of at least 1600 x 1600 pixels (square photo), and a maximum file size of 20 MB.

We recommend selecting a headshot that transmits a sense of welcome, grounding, and warmth.

Make sure that the focus is on your face and that there's enough space above your head so it will look good both on the app and on the website.

It must be well-lit, not at an awkward angle, not overly edited or heavily filtered, and not depict nudity or violence. No black-and-white images, and no selfies, please. No busy backgrounds or plain white/plain black backgrounds, too. It also must not have any text or borders. Please also make sure it's a photo of just yourself and not with a pet, with your significant other, with your kid/s, or with any other people. You can browse some examples here for reference.

For a group or organization, logos are accepted. The logo should just be the “icon” and not include any text unless the logo itself is a stylized font. Musicians may use a full-body photo, but only if it shows them using or with their instrument/s. Live Yoga teachers may likewise use a full-body photo of them in yoga poses. Here are some sample photos for Live Yoga Teachers.

BIO

A well-crafted Publisher Bio presents an excellent opportunity for publishers to introduce themselves to potential listeners and highlight their unique practice and experience.

By sharing your background, accreditations, experience, and practices, you can provide users with valuable insights about your teaching methods. Please note that your bio should be written in the third person and should be between 200 and 500 characters long, which is about 60-80 words.

Please refrain from adding external links or promoting external channels, and avoid using emojis or writing in all caps, as it can be distracting and take away from your message. By adhering to these guidelines, you can create a compelling and informative bio that will leave a lasting impression on potential listeners.

WEBSITE
In the "Website" section of your teacher profile on our app, you can provide a web link that will help our team and community learn more about you. This can be your website, social media account, Linktree link, or any other relevant link. It's important to note that this is the only area where you can promote an external link on the app.

ACCREDITATIONS

Having relevant accreditations or qualifications related to your content offerings can help ensure a smooth review process.

To provide this information, simply navigate to the Teacher Dashboard and go to Publisher Profile > Accreditations. Here, you can add any relevant accreditations or qualifications that you hold, which will be visible to our team during the review process.

We're excited to have you join our community of teachers on Insight Timer! To ensure that your publisher profile is approved, please make sure to provide a web link and/or proof of accreditation.

What's next?
Our team will be delighted to review your profile once you have uploaded and submitted your first audio track. If you have met our guidelines, your profile will be active and your track will be published within 5 business days. We're grateful for your contributions and wish you a wonderful journey as a teacher on Insight Timer.
