To send free-form messages, select the user's profile you wish to send a message too, and add them as a friend. Once the user accepts your friend request, you can start sending messages to each other.
Some users turn off the option to accept friend requests. To enable or disable friend requests:
1. Go to Profile.
2. Click Settings and go to Privacy
3. Select Privacy.
4. Toggle on or off the friend requests feature.
