Common Issues to Avoid
AudioStream from a quiet, private space with minimal background noise. Your mouth should be no more than 20 cm from your microphone. Mute all alerts and background appliances.External USB/XLR mic, 15–20 cm from your mouth, clear and undistorted.
For seated sessions: Shure MV7 or Blue Yeti.
For movement practices: Rode or DJI wireless mic.
Streaming from a public space with competing background noise; echoey or distorted sound; using only the built-in laptop mic; notifications mid-session; mouth too far from the microphone, or so close that it peaks or pops.
Video & FramingCamera at eye level for practices framed from the chest up. Camera at chest level for content capturing full-body movement. Assuming a strong internet connection, set video to stream at 1080p.Use a tripod or stable stand; leave space above and below for movement.
External camera (especially helpful for movement-based practices where you are further from the camera): Logitech C922 or Logitech Brio
Looking down into the camera; cropped body during movement; shaky footage.
LightingSubject must be clearly visible and well-lit, with consistent lighting throughout the session.Use even, soft lighting - facing a window for natural light works well.Shadows, overexposure, or backlighting.
BackgroundSpace must be clean, uncluttered, and intentional. Background aesthetics should feel calm, not distracting.Stream in front of an empty wall with minimal and thoughtfully arranged decor or objects behind you.Messy backgrounds; monitors, lighting equipment, or mirrors in view.
Internet & StabilityAt least 10 Mbps download / 7 Mbps upload; backup connection ready; run a speed test before going live.Close all bandwidth-heavy apps; use Ethernet.Dropped streams; no fallback plan; Wi-Fi when Ethernet is available.
Engagement & FlowWarm welcome and clear session structure; respectful chat interaction; invite name/location sharing.Start with an introduction outlining what to expect. Engage with viewers throughout the class as appropriate, responding to comments in the chat. End with an outro that recaps what you covered, offers a final opportunity to connect in the chat, and encourages viewers to tune in to your next live or try an on-demand class.Starting late or abruptly; ignoring chat; disorganised delivery.
Personal PresentationWear appropriate, family-friendly, non-distracting clothing when on camera (men must wear a shirt; women may wear sports bra–style tops).Choose solid colours or minimal patterns, and avoid prominent logos or branding. Make sure your clothing contrasts with your background so you remain clearly visible - especially for movement-based classes. Keep hair styled away from your face.Clothing that distracts the viewer (or you, if you're constantly making adjustments). If wearing a clip-on mic, avoid jewellery or accessories that could hit the microphone.
CredentialsRelevant certifications visible on your profile.Upload certificates in your Teacher Dashboard to speed up reviews.
Missing credentials; delays due to an incomplete profile.

Quality Assurance & Support

Our team regularly reviews live events to ensure they meet our guidelines. The following may happen if we notice areas for improvement:

  • Constructive feedback: You'll receive a short report with practical tips and examples from top-performing sessions.
  • Temporary pauses: If basic standards aren't being met, we may temporarily pause your live event access to give you time to adjust your setup. We'll reactivate it as soon as fixes are in place.

Important: Repeated failure to meet guidelines may result in a temporary or permanent ban from hosting live events and uploading content on the platform.
