Why Can't I See the Friend Button on a User's Profile?

There are a few reasons why you might not see the Friend button on a community member's profile:


  • You may have disabled Friend Requests on your account.
  • The community member may have disabled Friend Requests on their account.
  • You may already have a pending friend request from that person.


How to Enable Friend Requests

To check and enable Friend Requests on your account:


  1. Open the Insight Timer app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Go to Account & Privacy.
  5. Toggle on Friend requests under Privacy.


How to Clear a Pending Friend Request

If you have a pending friend request you'd like to clear:


  1. Open the Insight Timer app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Under Requests, find the friend request you want to clear.
  5. Tap the Ignore button next to the request.
