What are the Teacher Terms?
The Teacher Terms are the agreement between Insight Timer and each Teacher used to govern the sharing of content on our platform. They explain how we use the content you upload to the platform. The Teacher Terms are a contract between you and us; these FAQs are meant to help guide you through the Teacher Terms, but are not part of that contract.
What rights am I granting Insight Timer?
The content license in the Teacher Terms allows us to use the content you provide us through our Teacher platform (including your name, image, and your likeness, if appearing in that content) in various ways.
Here are some things that our license enables us to do with your content:
- Display your content on our app and website worldwide.
- Package or edit your content for inclusion in certain Insight Timer features (for example, adding an intro if the track is used for a challenge or compiling the track into a playlist on our platform).
- Package, edit and display your content on our social media channels for marketing purposes, which we may do to promote both your content, and Insight Timer and our platform generally.
We will stop displaying your content promptly upon your request; if you wish to make such a request, please contact us at publishers@insighttimer.com and permit us a reasonable period of time to remove content accordingly.
We may also use information about how users interact with your content to improve our services (for example, the algorithm that recommends content to users).
Do I still own my content?
Yes. This is a license, meaning you retain ownership of your content. Additionally, the license is non-exclusive, meaning you can also use and license your content outside our platform.
How does the license affect my existing content that I’ve already uploaded to Insight Timer?
By continuing to teach and host content on our platform, you agree that your existing content is included under this license. If you do not agree with the new Teacher Terms, you can remove your existing content from our platform, as described above.
